The Denver Metro Area is sought after for its quality of living, great weather and proximity to the mountains. Just under the surface of the obvious qualities Denver holds, there is a vibrant culture and active body of people who love to explore and connect. My goal is to give you resources to explore and connect in our beautiful city and surrounding communities!!

Events~ There are a few Pinterest boards that people have created to track events: www.pinterest.com/bestofcolorado/colorado-festivals andwww.pinterest.com/coloradoevents/pins/ In Denver, I would recommend The 9 News Event page or Visit Denver’s Page for local events: www.denver.org,http://events.9news.com My favorite blogs for the Denver Scene are: Denverista at http://denverista.com/50-things-to-do-in-colorado-during-the-fall-part-1/ . ReignDenver is a local blog and magazine that focuses on women’s fashion and lifestyle here in the Metro area. They highlight local businesses and “Reign” makers at www.denverreign.com . MileHiOnTheCheap highlights freebies, discounts and deals in Denver and Boulder at www.milehighonthecheap.com DenverBucketList in addition to their great event calendar they feature date night ideas, weekend getaways and family friendly events at http://denverbucketlist.com

Travel ~ The Denver Post featured an article that highlighted 10 Things to Do in Colorado In Your Lifetime. If you have lived here a while you may have done some of these but if you are new to Colorado or have not explored much these are great suggestions: http://www.denverpost.com/style/ci_5054084 . I found a local travel blog that features areas throughout the state and gives fresh perspective on camping tips and locations, scenic byways and road trips as well as local activities and recreation like paint balling and exploring our local state parks in the metro area: http://www.coloradotravelblog.com

Foodie’s + Local Culinary Blogs ~The first blog is a local Colorado that features healthy recipes. SeasonalandSavory features seasonal cusine and is one of Colorado’s top 20 cooking blogs  http://www.seasonalandsavory.com/ . The second blog is more focused on Food and Wine events. CulinaryColorado features reviews and information about local restaurants: http://culinary-colorado.com .

Business Networking ~ Denver has a large network of small business owners and entrepreneurs. The methods used to connect and build strategic alliances and partnerships are vast. Here are a few I would suggest. Certus Professional Networking hosts monthly events throughout the metro area for business owners to meet like minded people and promote their businesses. Sabrina Risley, the owner is an amazing connector. http://www.certusnetwork.com/The Crankset Group features weekly luncheons, classes and small networking groups called 3-5 Club. Chuck Blakeman the founder is an author and business coach. His goal if for business owners to focus on setting a business maturity date and move from survival mode to thriving. http://cranksetgroup.com

Happy Connecting!
